Dear Friends of RGA,
Life is fragile.
By now many of you have learned of the family tragedy that occurred over the past holiday weekend in Elmhurst involving two adult children with disabilities and their parents. We were shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the deaths of Frank, Jr. and Mary Stack, who both lived in our residential programs and received services from Ray Graham Association, as well as their parents, Frank, Sr. and Joan. Mr. and Mrs. Stack were dedicated and loving parents.
Frank, Jr. and Mary were well supported by our RGA team and as a result lived a fulfilled life, made friends, and shared in many fun experiences with them. I am so grateful for the love and compassion that our team showed for these two individuals and their family. It is hard to imagine that they will no longer be with us as part of the RGA family.
As one of our Board members recently shared with me, “While this event is difficult to understand, we know the event doesn’t define us, and it only lends more importance to the good work RGA does on a daily basis.”
We continue to support those most significantly impacted by this tragedy, including the people we serve and the staff that worked closely with Frank, Jr., Mary and their family. Today, and throughout the next few weeks, our thoughts are with all that mourn their loss.
