First Look for Charity: Event Re-cap

Ray Graham Association experienced another successful year participating in Chicago Auto Show’s First Look for Charity event. This was the 18th year RGA benefitted from ticket sales purchased to the event. The event was held at McCormick Place in downtown Chicago on February 10 and offered a night in grandeur for attendees of the inaugural look at the annual Chicago Show.

More than 415 guests purchased tickets that directly benefited RGA. The ticket purchase also allowed participants to be automatically entered in a raffle to win one of two vehicles. This year the vehicle choices were a 2011 Honda CR-Z compliments of American Honda Motor Company and a 2011 Hyundai Sonata compliments of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Hyundai Dealers.

RGA thanks Cathy Ficker Terrill for hosting the pre-event reception and for offering her home as the official RGA departure site.

RGA would like to thank the generous underwriters and sponsors for their support. Sponsors of the event included: O’Hare Honda & O’Hare Hyundai Auto group, CBS Radio Chicago, and Wintrust Commercial Banking/Beverly Bank.

Many thanks to all of the wonderful committee members who, without, the event’s success would not have been possible. Specials thanks to Charlie Blum from UPS, Melna Langham from ScotPress Printing and Daniela Kole from Beverly Bank.

RGA would like to thank, in particular, Kevin Mize of O’Hare Auto Group who served Ray Graham Association this past event as Chair of Committee. He and his family have been a great friends and supporters for many years.
The funds raised from this event will help Ray Graham Association to continue to provide the same quality of services and supports for people with disabilities that have been a standard since 1950.
